Online counselling is confidential. Knowing this will help you trust your therapist with your problem, so your therapist can help you. Confidentiality is only broken when someone is at risk of harm. Your therapist will give you professional insight, within a consistent and mutually respectful online therapeutic relationship. Your therapist will not judge you or tell you how to live your life. Many people choose to email an online therapist for these reasons.How it Works
- Select a therapist with the Find a Therapist box. Our profiles include our fee per online counselling response, how long we spend on each response, and how long online counselling may take.
- Establish initial contact with a therapist via the Contact Me button on their profile. If you both want to go ahead, your therapist will make Email Therapy available to you and you will receive an email asking you to begin in the secure area of RSCPP.
- Securely Pay Online and receive receipt.
- Complete and send one online assessment form - write up to 24,000 characters about your problems and ask any questions.
- Be notified at your email address of your therapist's response within 48 hours (excludes weekends and public holidays).
- Log-in at rscpp.co.uk to both read the actual response and reply using one or more blocks of 400 words to receive the next response. Save drafts and continue later, or send. Reflect on your email counselling correspondence at any time.
