Is counselling confidential?
Everything you say or write to your counsellor is confidential - it is between you and your counsellor. Confidentiality can be broken in certain circumstances, for example, when there is a risk of someone hurting themselves or others. Any counsellor you choose to work with can clarify this further with you during your initial consultation.
