I am a UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) Registered Psychotherapist. I have 13 years experience of private counselling and psychotherapy practice, and 20 years experience working in therapeutic communities with ex substance misusers, facilitating Art Therapy groups, and working with people with food problems.

What to Expect during Counselling and Psychotherapy

My approach in counselling and psychotherapy is individual to each client, according to the client's needs. I am influenced by Jung - I work with dreams and creativity, spirituality as well as the issues above. I believe that in a safe and confidential environment, self exploration and inner growth can happen in the pace that suits each individual.

Clinical Qualifications in Counselling and Psychotherapy

- Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP/UKCP Recognised) 1989
- Certificate in Person Centred Art Therapy 1993
- Diploma in clinical supervision from the Minster Centre 1999

Throughout the last 20 years I have attended a variety of workshops and further training.

Additional Information

I am a qualified clinical supervisor, and supervised qualified counsellors as well as being the supervisor at the Mary Ward Centre for 2 years for students on the Counselling course.
