I worked for many years for Swindon Counselling Service (SCS) both as therapist and member of their management team. My work in SCS was mainly psychodynamic and tended towards longer term therapy. However, I am also trained in short therapy techniques and counseling relaxation techniques through the Mindfield College, and am able to offer short term counselling therapy using these very therapeutic practices. I have also worked with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Art Therapy and have studied short term counseling approaches with Phoenix EFT. I am therefore able to offer a wide variety of short term counselling interventions, including meridian energy therapies, dependent upon clients' individual needs.

Prior to setting up Rainbow Counselling in 2005 I worked as a senior personnel professional with experience of major change in a large complex national organisation. I am business aware with strong, proven people skills and an ability to foster therapeutic relationships with people at all levels. I have extensive experience of Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) work and am affiliated with six EAP providers. I am also employed as a retained counsellor with The Rainbow Trust Children's Charity
