Clinical Experience in Counselling and Psychotherapy

I am a UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) Registered Psychotherapist. I offer both short term and long term therapy. I work in private practice with adults in Guildford. I also have experience of working with young adults aged 18-25 in the education sector. I work with a wide range of people. The issues they bring to me have included life changes, work related stress, trauma, abuse, self harm, and displacement from country of origin.

What to Expect during Counselling and Psychotherapy

I work as a Psychoanalytic Attachment based psychotherapist. In line with my training I believe that Attachment based Psychotherapy is central to the understanding of human relationships throughout the life cycle.

A feeling of safety and security enables the individual to develop a sense of self. When these elements are challenged negatively during childhood or adulthood, the ability to cope becomes threatened.

Forming a therapeutic attachment relationship with the therapist is a positive way forward.

"To mourn past losses and to explore the impact of important relationships in your life both current and past." Bowlby Centre.

Clinical Qualifications in Counselling and Psychotherapy

  • UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) Registered Psychotherapist - Attachment Based Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist since 2002
  • UKCP Organisation Training Psychoanalytical Psychotherapy - Bowlby Centre London (UK) 2000

I am committed to Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in Counselling and Psychotherapy. I abide by the Code of Ethics of the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and the Code of Ethics of the Bowlby Centre London.
