Clinical Experience in Psychotherapy

I provide evidence-based and effective treatments in Farnham for psychological problems. I have extensive experience in treating people within the NHS and private sectors.

What to Expect during Psychotherapy

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a short term therapy that has been proven to be effective in treating a wide range of psychological problems, and is recommended by the National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE) guidelines.

CBT helps people understand what triggers emotional problems and also what is keeping them going now.

Very often we can develop unhelpful patterns of thinking or acting that actually keep our distress going, and by looking at these with you, I will help you understand how to make helpful changes that can alter the way you feel.

By learning these skills, CBT helps you to become your own therapist and solve the problems you may be facing. This can also help you cope better in the future, and can reduce the chances of a relapse in symptoms.

Clinical Qualifications in Psychotherapy

I am a British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) Accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) Therapist.
