Clinical Experience in Counselling, Psychology and Psychotherapy
I am a British Psychological Society (BPS) Chartered and Health Professions Council (HPC) Registered Counselling Psychologist. I provide psychological therapy, counselling and life coaching in central Reading. I am experienced in providing both long and short term therapy depending on the needs of the client.
As well as running my own private practice I work for the NHS as a Highly Specialist Counselling Psychologist.
What to Expect during Counselling, Psychology and Psychotherapy
My main way of working is eclectively. Being trained at a high level in numerous different theoretical modalities allows me to choose the way of working that best suits the individual client.Clinical Qualifications in Counselling, Psychology and Psychotherapy
Over the past 15 years I have developed a career within the social and healthcare fields which has led me to experience different strategies to psychological therapy both in the UK and in North America.
I have a strong clinical background in counselling and psychology with a focus on Mental Health. My MSc in Mental Health Counselling from the University of Massachusetts, Boston, USA covered a variety of counselling modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy and Narrative Therapy.
More recently I have received training in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Anxiety Management, Interpersonal Psychotherapy, Mindfulness, Brief Anger Management Therapy, Skills for Clinical and Case Supervision, CBT for Body Dysmorphic Disorder and Compassion Focused Therapy.

Additional Information
Inspired in part by the work I have done to provide Solution Focused Training, over the last year I have been able to amalgamate my work in Solution Focused Therapy (SFT) to write and deliver the manuscript for my first book, The Solution Focused Way: Incorporating Solution Focused Therapy into Your Everyday Work. It is hoped this book aimed at other practitioners will further expand the use of SFT.
