Welcome. My name is Louise Shuttleworth. I am a UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) Registered Psychotherapist - Integrative Psychotherapist. My private Counselling and Psychotherapy consulting room is located in Preston Park, Brighton. I also practise in Hove.
I have been a UKCP Registered Psychotherapist since August 2005 so I have more than 7 years and 9 months of post-registration experience of working with clients. I work with Individuals. I'm experienced in working with people from different backgrounds and cultures, and helping with the particular challenges they encounter.
Besides being a Psychotherapist in private practice in Preston Park, Brighton, I have experience as a Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) Psychotherapist.

After an initial consultation in Preston Park, Brighton, there is no obligation to proceed if you decide not to. As Client and Therapist, we may take the opportunity to put into words the current challenges for which you require Counselling or Psychotherapy. I will address any questions you may have. We can see how well we work together. You and I will then be able to assess if my Counselling and Psychotherapy practice is appropriate for you.The aim of my Counselling and Psychotherapy practice is to concentrate on your concerns so you feel heard, respected and supported. To get the most from Counselling and Psychotherapy you will need to be able to work collaboratively.
As a UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) Registered Psychotherapist - Integrative Psychotherapist, I am highly trained and experienced in using Integrative Therapy to help people who experience problematic thoughts, feelings or behaviour.
Integrative Therapy
I have at my finger tips a variety of therapeutic methods that I offer according to you and your needs. This forms the basis of Integrative Therapy. Generally 1 to 24 sessions: depends on issue and other factors.
