What to Expect during Counselling and Psychotherapy
I work in an holistic and individual way with my clients - both transpersonally and integratively. Abraham Maslow said "if you only have a hammer, you treat everything like a nail". The way I work is spontaneous, dynamic at times, quiet and subtle at others, sometimes, occasionally dramatic and often there is laughter to be shared - therapy is not all gloom and doom. For some clients, the search for meaning is important, for another the challenge might be to develop a particular quality in response to a testing situation. Some clients might need a cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) approach, others might need transactional analysis, Gestalt techniques, sound or movement - still others might be in search of spiritual practices, nature practices or creative imagination work.
I respond to the client who presents in front of me and tailor-make the work to suit their needs at that moment in time.
