Clinical Experience in Counselling and Psychotherapy

I am an experienced Integrative Counsellor and I am able to provide Person Centred and Psychodynamic counselling. I also have experience of working with mental health issues through Mind, a leading mental health charity for England and Wales. I am a Member of The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

What to Expect during Counselling and Psychotherapy

As individuals, we all think, feel and react in many different ways to life’s problems. As an Integrative Counsellor, I adapt with each client to produce a unique therapy to suit my client’s needs. I draw on the knowledge and skills from theoretical perspectives; Person Centred and Psychodynamic.

Person Centred Counselling – Offers a supportive, non-judgemental relationship between client and counsellor where the client can begin to explore their feelings, learn about their needs and wants and how to focus on their goals.

Psychodynamic Counselling – works by bringing the clients unconscious thoughts and feelings to the surface. Memories of early relationships are used to make sense of current concerns. By helping the client to explore how the past has negatively influenced them, they may begin to recognise re-occurring patterns in their relationships.

Clinical Qualifications in Counselling and Psychotherapy

  • British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) Member (MBACP) Counsellor and Psychotherapist since 2004

I am committed to Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in Counselling and Psychotherapy. I abide by the Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
