What to Expect during Counselling and Psychotherapy

After an initial appointment in Cheam, Sutton, there is no requirement to continue if you prefer not to. You and I may use the time to assess the personal challenges for which you are considering Counselling or Psychotherapy. I will discuss confidentiality with you and address any questions you may have. You can see how you feel working with me. I will then be able to assess if my Counselling and Psychotherapy practice is right for you.

The aim of my Counselling and Psychotherapy practice is to attend to what brings you to therapy in a confidential and focused environment, develop your insight of your thoughts and how they may increase or decrease your symptoms, tailor therapy to you and your needs and work towards ending therapy when it is right for you.

As a British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) Accredited (MBACP Accred) Counsellor and Psychotherapist, I am trained and experienced in using Brief Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Therapy, Couple Therapy, Humanistic Therapy, Integrative Therapy, Person Centred Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Sexual and Relationship Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy (SFT) to help people who experience problematic thoughts, feelings or behaviour.

Clinical Qualifications in Counselling and Psychotherapy

  • BA Counselling and Psychotherapy - Integrative - Guildford College of Further and Higher Education (UK) 2009
  • British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) Accredited (MBACP Accred) Counsellor and Psychotherapist since September 2007
