Clinical Experience in Psychotherapy

Hello. My name is Andrew Pearce. I am a UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) Registered Psychotherapist. I help people to address the causes of problems, reduce symptoms, and live more fully. My private Psychotherapy practice is based in Belsay, Newcastle upon Tyne. I also practise in Jesmond, Newcastle upon Tyne, Durham, Wolsingham, Bishop Auckland and Rookhope, Bishop Auckland.

I have been a UKCP Registered Psychotherapist since April 2006 so I have over 7 years and 1 month of post-registration experience of working with clients. I work with Individuals and Couples. I am highly experienced in providing Psychotherapy to men, people from corporate backgrounds, people from different backgrounds and cultures and women, and assisting with the particular issues they face. My expertise is in Depression, Self Development, Stress and Workplace Issues and Work Relationship Problems.

As well as being a Psychotherapist in private practice in Belsay, Newcastle upon Tyne, I have experience as a Charity and Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) Psychotherapist.

What to Expect during Psychotherapy

After an initial appointment in Belsay, Newcastle upon Tyne, there is no obligation to continue if you decide not to. As Client and Therapist, we will use the time to explore the current or unresolved past issues for which you are considering Psychotherapy. I will address any questions you may have. We can see how well we work together. You and I will then be able to establish if my Psychotherapy practice is right for you.

The aim of my Psychotherapy practice is to concentrate on your concerns so you feel heard, respected and supported, develop your insight of your thoughts and how they may increase or decrease your symptoms, develop your knowledge of causes of concerns so you discover what to change or accept and work towards ending therapy when it is right for you.

As a UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) Registered Psychotherapist, I am trained and experienced in using Brief Therapy, Constructivist Therapy, Eclectic Therapy, Integrative Therapy, Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) and Solution Focused Therapy (SFT) to assist people to live more fully.

Clinical Qualifications in Psychotherapy

  • UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) Registered Psychotherapist since April 2006
  • Advanced Diploma Constructivist Therapy - Neuro Linguistic Psychotherapy Counselling Association (NLPTCA) Bury St Edmunds (UK) 2006
