As a UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) Registered Psychotherapist, I am highly trained and experienced in using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Existential Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR) and Integrative Therapy to work with people to improve their wellbeing.
Existential Therapy
The basic philosophy of this approach is that while your life might have certain limitations and a given past, there is still a choice in how you view and live it. Crisis in life can be turn into opportunity. Generally 12 to 24 sessions: depends on issue and other factors.
Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR)
During this therapy a specific simple and powerful technique is used to remove the intensity of emotional and physical distress associated with a particular trauma or incident of the past. EMDR can be used in treating anxiety, panic, phobias and negative and low self-perceptions. Generally 2 to 6 sessions: depends on issue and other factors.
Integrative Therapy
Integrative Therapy draws from different therapeutic approaches, employing those most useful to your specific needs. Generally 12 to 24 sessions: depends on issue and other factors.

Testimonials about Natalia Zhigalina
“I found the counselling very helpful and supportive. I wasn't quite sure where it was all going or where I was going. At the time everything was very stressful and traumatic for me. I felt friends and family shied away from me because they did not understand what I was going through, therefore the counselling was a real support when I badly needed it. In my case there were so many issues to deal with but I feel that it did help me enormously.” “Many thanks for being my sounding board and ally for the past three months. My sessions with you have provided me with an opportunity to reflect on and re-assess my life. As a result, I feel like I have gained a new perspective on things and that is saying a lot…”
“I would just like to say that my Counsellor was brilliant in that she helped me understand exactly what was happening to me and how to deal with my situation. I felt really comfortable with her and was able to open up to her easily.”
