Clinical Experience in Psychotherapy

I have been providing Psychodynamic Counselling on a one to one basis for the past six years. I am experienced in working on an open-ended basis aimed at resolving issues which are causing difficulties and emotional and mental distress in your life and relationships. I also have experience, in the NHS and private practice, of short term focused work of six to eight weeks duration. I work with clients of all age and backgrounds.

What to Expect during Psychotherapy

In my work with clients I aim to facilitate insight and understanding of how experiences and relationships in the past, including childhood and adolescence, influence present emotions, behaviour and relationships.

I offer complete confidentiality and a safe, non-judgemental space for you to talk through and explore whatever is troubling you. Psychodynamic counselling enables you to be heard and understood; to voice whatever you feel cannot be said anywhere else.

In our work together you can be supported in exploring new ways of relating to the world and yourself, giving you the insight and self worth to make better life choices and be happier.

I am respectful of people's different cultural, religious and ethnic identities and take these important experiences into account in my work.

Counselling takes place once a week and each session last fifty minutes.

  • UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) Registered Psychotherapist since 2007
  • British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) Member (MBACP) Psychotherapist since 2007
