Clinical Experience in Counselling, Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy

I have worked for many years in counselling and psychotherapy, as a psychotherapist or in a consultative role within the Charity, Private and NHS sectors, with any age from 18 years. My private practice consulting room is in London Bridge and Borough, in calm and dedicated surrounds. I work with all aspects of emotional and mental health but have a particular interest in pregnancy related matters and miscarriage or still birth, having worked with both groups or individual mothers. This also includes pre and post natal depression. I believe in the individuality of each person and that is kept in mind throughout the work. I encourage and endeavour to facilitate self-development and inner awareness with a development of new-found self resources. Confidentiality and ethics are always present.

What to Expect during Counselling, Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy

The therapy will be tailor made to your needs. All issues can be talked about in a confidential and safe environment, with someone who is professionally trained to facilitate understanding of your emotional world. There is space and the opportunity to consider the things that distress you and that you may be grappling with, all of which are important and of value.

The initial consultation(s) takes between 50 to 90 minutes. At the initial consultation(s) we can think together on how best to proceed. We may consider frequency of sessions, that is one or more per week and if the sessions are for a limited period or open ended arrangement.

Clinical Qualifications in Counselling, Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy

I have trained extensively in the field of emotional and psychological health. I hold an:

- MA in Psychoanalytic Studies
- Postgraduate Diploma in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy
- Postgraduate Diploma in Psychodynamic Studies
- Advanced Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling

I am a Registered Psychotherapist with the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC) and the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP). I am a British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy Senior Accredited Counsellor (Snr MBACP). I am also a professional Member of the Foundation for Psychotherapy and Counselling (FPC) (WPF).

Additional Information

I also work as an assessor and belong to committees in the field of psychoanalytic psychotherapy. I co-organise scientific meetings for the Foundation for Psychotherapy and Counselling (FPC) and promote Continuing Professional Development (CPD), which I attend regularly as stipulated by the professional guidelines. I offer psychodynamic supervision to counsellors and therapists, either individually or in groups of two. Special rates available for newly qualified therapists.
