Clinical Experience in Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy

I am a Psychotherapist and Analytical Psychologist with clinical experience of working both within the NHS and in private practice since 1994. With a background in Radiotherapy and Oncology I am also experienced in helping people cope with illness as well as the suffering often experienced through loss in various forms, in addition to the stress and anxiety involved. As a Training Analyst and Supervisor I have a well established private practice and see individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures with a variety of reasons for seeking therapy. I am a member of a professional organisation and adhere to their Code of Ethics and Practice and am committed to maintaining professionally high standards through continuous professional development.

What to Expect during Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy

My style of practice changes according to the need of each individual person. While empathy, warmth and compassion and non-judgemental support are probably common to all talking therapies, I draw upon the various methods I have studied. My main training is in the interpretation of dreams according to the theory and practice of the psychology of the Swiss Psychiatrist C. G. Jung which recognises the reality of unconscious processes as well as personal and interpersonal dynamics. Working with dreams provides an enriching and life enhancing experience, offering invaluable new insights.

Clinical Qualifications in Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy

Member of The Independent Group of Analytical Psychologists (IGAP).
Member of The International Association for Analytical Psychology (IAAP).
Registered Member of The United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP).
