Clinical Experience in Counselling and Psychotherapy
I am a humanistic and integrative psychotherapist with over twelve years experience of working with individuals and couples in a variety of settings, including the NHS, a domestic violence agency, and Victim Support. I have also worked in HR and management training.
I believe that therapy can be a powerful tool for change and self development. I offer a safe, confidential space in which you can explore your issues and find a more satisfying way of being.
What to Expect during Counselling and Psychotherapy
My approach is humanistic and integrative which means that I view the individual as a whole person and believe that the receptivity, emotional responsiveness and level of personal skill of the therapist is as relevant as the theoretical frame of reference or the techniques employed.I also use formative psychology which is seeking to understand human experience from an anatomical perspective, by learning how to influence our behaviour and the way we function.
Clinical Qualifications in Counselling and Psychotherapy
- UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) Registered Psychotherapist since 2001
- Advanced Diploma Humanistic Counselling and Psychotherapy - Spectrum (SPEC) London (UK) 2001
I am committed to Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in Counselling and Psychotherapy. I abide by the Code of Ethics of the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and the Code of Ethics of the Spectrum (SPEC) London.
