Clinical Experience in Counselling and Psychotherapy

Sometimes it helps to have someone to talk to. As a professional, qualified counsellor I provide a compassionate and confidential space, where you can talk about what's troubling you. Talking through things in counselling and psychotherapy can lead to new perspectives on your situation, an increased sense of personal choice, and a richer sense of connection with yourself and others. I am a psychodynamic therapist in private practice, offering professional help to a broad range of clients in Central London.

What to Expect during Counselling and Psychotherapy

Deciding to seek help and then choosing a counsellor can be a daunting prospect, especially if you are already in emotional distress. I hope my profile will be informative however, don't hesitate to contact me via the 'Contact Me' link above to talk through your questions.

In counselling the client and psychotherapist sit together in a quiet, confidential room. The client is given the space to talk about whatever feels most important or troubling. Listening carefully to what the client says the counsellor works to help the client bring their true feelings to the surface, so that they can experience them and understand them.

Clinical Qualifications in Counselling and Psychotherapy

I hold a British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) accredited Advanced Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling from WPF Counselling and Psychotherapy, London, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychodynamic Studies from Roehampton University.

I am a full professional member of the the Foundation for Psychotherapy and Counselling (FPC) and a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I work to their professional Codes of Ethics and Practice and can make available, upon request, copies of their code of ethics, and complaints and grievance procedure.

I participate in peer support programmes and ongoing professional development to ensure that my practice in Central London affords the best informed care.
