Clinical Experience in Counselling
My counselling service in Chiswick and Islington is strictly confidential and I follow the code of conduct, good practice and ethical framework of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
My career as a private practitioner in Chiswick and Islington and as a counsellor for several charities, has given me a wide experience, supporting people to find answers to their problems, solutions to their struggles, understanding the difficulties of life and working side by side to deal with their past, present and the way they relate to themselves and others.
Besides my private counselling practice in Chiswick, West London, and Islington, North London I have provided counselling services at 'Turning Point' working with people with drugs and alcohol addictions.
What to Expect during Counselling
I am an experienced counsellor offering a counselling service personalised to individual needs which often stimulates personal and emotional growth.I chose to train as a Person Centred Counsellor. This means I don't give directions or solutions but I facilitate my clients in finding their own directions and solutions. I offer empathy, unconditional regard, and active listening. Together we will work towards goals set by you.
Counselling sessions take place in order for you and me to meet, talk, listen, and together pay attention to your life and how you experience it.
Clinical Qualifications in Counselling
- Diploma Person Centred Counselling - Metanoia Institute (MET) London (UK) 2011
- British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) Member (MBACP) Counsellor since 2006
I am committed to Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in Counselling. I abide by the Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
Additional Information
A long time ago I read a book called 'The Buddhaoo'. One of the chapters was called 'Be the Change You Wish to See'. I believe counselling is similar to this - counselling is about allowing a person to get in touch with their own inner resources and establish an understanding that they are capable of moving forward in their life.
