Clinical Experience in Counselling and Psychology

I am a British Psychological Society (BPS) Chartered Counselling Psychologist who has experience in assessment, face to face treatment and telephone counselling. I practice in an integrative way and will identify the most appropriate way of working during our initial assessment. I have experience of working within education, insurance and the NHS.

What to Expect during Counselling and Psychology

I work towards helping clients build a strong sense of power and integrity in order to help them overcome their issues. I use a number of techniques to help empower clients. The main therapeutic models which I use are Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement and Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR) and Integrative Psychotherapy.

Clinical Qualifications in Counselling and Psychology

  • Health Professions Council (HPC) Registered Counselling Psychologist since 2008
  • British Psychological Society (BPS) Chartered Counselling Psychologist (CPsychol) since 2007
  • BPS Accredited MA Counselling Psychology and Psychotherapy - School of Psychotherapy and Counselling Psychology Regent's College (SPCPRC) London (UK) 2007

I am committed to Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in Counselling and Psychology. I abide by the Code of Ethics and Conduct of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and the Standards of the Health Professions Council (HPC).

Additional Information

Quite often we try to put distressing issues to the back of our minds in order to try and deal with them. In my experience this increases anxiety and reinforces ways of being which are not conducive to what we want to be in life. Even though the concept of therapy may be daunting, be brave and arrange an initial appointment.
