Hi. I'm Sharon. I am a British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) Accredited (MBACP Accred) Counsellor and a UK Register of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (UKRCP) Registered Independent (UKRCP Reg Ind) Counsellor. I assist people to define problems and help them explore what to do next. My private Counselling consulting room is located in Burntwood.
I have been a BACP Accredited Counsellor since May 2002 and a UKRCP Registered Independent Counsellor since July 2009, so I have over 11 years and 1 month of post-accreditation experience of working with clients. I also gained years of experience of working with clients in order to qualify. I work with Individuals, Couples and Families. I'm experienced in working with men and people from different backgrounds and cultures, and assisting with the particular issues they encounter.
As well as being a Counsellor in private practice in Burntwood, I have experience as a Charity, College, Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) and Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) Counsellor.

What to Expect during Counselling
After an initial consultation in Burntwood, there is no obligation to continue if you decide not to. As Client and Therapist, we may take the opportunity to explore the current issues for which you seek Counselling. I will address any questions you may have. You can see how you feel working with me. You and I will then be able to decide if my Counselling practice is right for you.The aim of my Counselling practice is to tailor therapy to you and your needs. To get the most from Counselling you will need to be able to speak openly with me and reflect.
