Clinical Experience in Psychotherapy

Welcome. My name is Georgina Vintin. I am a UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) Registered Psychotherapist - Systemic Psychotherapist. I work with people's perceptions of themselves and others. My private Psychotherapy practice is based in Twickenham.

A Psychotherapist since July 2008, I have 4 years of experience in Psychotherapy. I work with Individuals, Couples and Families. I'm experienced in working with people from different backgrounds and cultures, and helping with the particular problems they encounter.

What to Expect during Psychotherapy

After an initial appointment in Twickenham, there is no obligation to continue if you do not wish to. As Client and Therapist, we may take the opportunity to discuss the current challenges for which you seek Psychotherapy. I will discuss confidentiality with you. We can see how well we work together. You and I will then be able to establish if my Psychotherapy practice is right for you.

The aim of my Psychotherapy practice is to develop your knowledge of causes of concerns so you discover what to change or accept. To get the most from Psychotherapy you will need to be able to speak openly with me and reflect.

As a UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) Registered Psychotherapist - Systemic Psychotherapist, I am highly trained and experienced in using Couple Therapy, Family and Couple Therapy, Family and Systemic Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) and Systemic Therapy to assist people to get through the difficulties they experience.

Couple Therapy

I take a neutral position. I am interested to explore relationship patterns to make sense of why you and your partner are experiencing problems, and to begin to break patterns to bring about change. Generally 3 to 8 sessions: depends on issue and other factors.

Narrative Therapy

Narrative Therapy aims to explore your personal 'story' in order to look for new perspectives and opportunities for change. Generally 3 to 8 sessions: depends on issue and other factors.

Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT)

SFBT is about exploring present possibilities for change. This requires some looking into the past, but in the main it is about moving forward and creating change. Generally 3 to 5 sessions: depends on issue and other factors.

Systemic Therapy

Systemic Therapy is used to explore the problems you are experiencing in the context of your relationships. Generally 3 to 8 sessions: depends on issue and other factors.

Clinical Qualifications in Psychotherapy

  • UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) Registered Psychotherapist - Systemic Psychotherapist since 2012
  • UKCP Accredited Training Systemic Psychotherapy - UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) London (UK) 2012
