Clinical Experience in Counselling

Hello. My name is Adele Fifer. I am a British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) Senior Accredited (MBACP Snr Accred) Counsellor. I help people to address the causes of problems, reduce symptoms, and live more fully. My private Counselling practice is situated in Edgware.

I have been a BACP Senior Accredited Counsellor since May 2009 (Accredited since October 2001) so I have over 11 years and 7 months of post-accreditation experience of helping clients. I work with Individuals, Couples and Families. My expertise is in Anxiety, Communication, Depression and Divorce.

As well as being a Counsellor in private practice in Edgware, I have experience as a School Counsellor. I have also worked as a Counsellor in South Africa.

What to Expect during Counselling

After an initial appointment in Edgware, there is no obligation to continue if you decide not to. As Client and Therapist, we may take the opportunity to evaluate the current concerns for which you are considering Counselling. I will discuss confidentiality with you and address any questions you may have. You can see how you feel working with me. You and I will then be able to decide if my Counselling practice is right for you.

The aim of my Counselling practice is to concentrate on your concerns so you feel heard, respected and supported. To get the most from Counselling you will need to be able to work collaboratively.

As a British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) Senior Accredited (MBACP Snr Accred) Counsellor, I am trained and experienced in using Couple Therapy and Psychodynamic Therapy to work with people who experience problems in the areas of love, work or play.

Clinical Qualifications in Counselling

  • British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) Senior Accredited (MBACP Snr Accred) Counsellor since May 2009 (Accredited since October 2001)
  • BACP Accredited BA (Hons) Psychodynamic Therapy and Counselling - British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) Lutterworth (UK) 2001

I am committed to Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in Counselling. I abide by the Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
