What to Expect during Counselling and Psychotherapy
After an initial appointment in Hale, Altrincham, there is no need to continue if you decide not to. We can use the time to consider the particular concerns for which you are considering Counselling or Psychotherapy. I will discuss confidentiality with you and address any questions you may have. We can see how well we work together. You and I will then be able to decide if my Counselling and Psychotherapy practice is right for you.The aim of my Counselling and Psychotherapy practice is to concentrate on your concerns so you feel heard, respected and supported, develop your insight of your thoughts and how they may increase or decrease your symptoms, develop your knowledge of causes of concerns so you discover what to change or accept and tailor therapy to you and your needs. To get the most from Counselling and Psychotherapy you will need to be able to speak openly with me and reflect and work collaboratively.
As a UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) Registered Psychotherapist, I am highly trained and experienced in using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Couple Therapy, Existential Therapy, Integrative Therapy and Psychodynamic Therapy to work with people to improve their wellbeing.
