Clinical Experience in Counselling and Psychotherapy

I have worked in a variety of counselling environments including various community counselling agencies and as a student counsellor for the University of London. In these environments as well as in my own counselling practice I have worked with many kinds of issues and problems with people from a wide diversity of cultural backgrounds.

What to Expect during Counselling and Psychotherapy

I am a Person Centred Counsellor and Psychotherapist. I see individuals for one to one sessions and couples for relationship counselling. Therapy can either be short or long term. I listen and move at your pace, trying to understand feelings and thoughts - enabling you to talk about anything that concerns you. Being understood allows us to see life in a different way and activates resources that we all have within ourselves. I aim to establish a relationship in which both of us can strive to understand the problems and journey through life as it is for you at the moment.

Although I do not direct the counselling process, and rarely ask questions, it is not a passive process. I do not try and change anyone, although I know significant changes often occur if the right conditions are facilitated.

I firmly believe that we all have the potential for growth and change.

My therapy room is set in a tranquil environment away from any distractions and has private access from the street. Parking is free and the main bus station, underground and mainline trains are less than a 5 minute walk away. Around the corner there are cafes, eating places and local shops.
