Welcome. I'm Brenda. I am a British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) Registered Counsellor. I assist people to define problems and help them explore what to do next. My private Counselling practice is located in Shenley, Radlett.
I have been a BACP Registered Counsellor since March 2013 so I have over 2 months of post-registration experience of working with clients. In addition, I gained years of experience of working with clients in order to qualify. I work with Individuals, Couples and Families. I'm experienced in working with people from different backgrounds and cultures, and helping with the particular difficulties they encounter. My specialist experience is in Couple Relationships.
In addition to being a Counsellor in private practice in Shenley, Radlett, I have experience as a Charity Counsellor.

What to Expect during Counselling
After an initial assessment in Shenley, Radlett, there is no obligation to continue if you decide not to. As Client and Therapist, we may take the opportunity to explore the particular concerns for which you seek Counselling. I will address any questions you may have. I will then be able to assess if my Counselling practice is appropriate for you.The aim of my Counselling practice is to attend to what brings you to therapy in a confidential and focused environment. To get the most from Counselling you will need to be able to be open to change.
As a British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) Registered Counsellor, I am highly trained and experienced in using Behaviour Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Therapy, Integrative Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy (SFT) and Systemic Therapy to help people who experience problematic thoughts, feelings or behaviour.
