What to Expect during Counselling

After an initial appointment in Canterbury, there is no obligation to proceed if you do not wish to. As Client and Therapist, we can take the opportunity to explore the current or unresolved past difficulties for which you are considering Counselling. I will discuss confidentiality with you and address any questions you may have. You can see how you feel working with me. You and I will then be able to assess if my Counselling practice is right for you.

The aim of my Counselling practice is to attend to what brings you to therapy in a confidential and focused environment.

As a British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) Accredited (MBACP Accred) Counsellor, I am trained and experienced in using Brief Therapy, Client Centred Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Humanistic and Integrative Therapy, Humanistic Therapy, Integrative Therapy, Person Centred Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy (SFT) to assist people to get through the difficulties they experience.

Integrative Therapy

Integrative Therapy aims to help you make sense of thoughts, feelings, relationships and unresolved past experiences that are causing you difficulty, to enable you to feel more in control of your life and achieve a greater sense of freedom in the present. Generally 6 to 40 sessions: depends on issue and other factors.
