Clinical Experience in Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy

I am an experienced and highly qualified psychotherapist working with adults. I have had a private practice since 2000. Currently I also work in the NHS and in the past have worked in the voluntary sector as a group therapist. I also teach a weekly seminar for MSc students studying the Psychodynamics of Human Development.

What to Expect during Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy

Initially, I shall want to learn from you why you feel the need for therapy and what you might expect or hope to gain. During these first sessions, you will get a sense of what it is like to work with me. We can decide whether to make a commitment to working together. I will explain to you what that commitment means for us both. Taking into account your situation and how I think I can best support you, we will decide on the fee and when and how often to meet. Jungian Analysis is an approach that enables me to tune into your deeper and sometimes unconscious aspects of your psyche. I will help you to get to know yourself more deeply and so have more understanding and choice about how you are and who you want to be.
