Couples: first session set at £62.50, subsequent appointments between £50.00 and £75.00 - 60 minutes.

Welcome. My name is Anthony Bailey. I am a British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC) Registered Psychodynamic Psychotherapist. I assist people, each one unique, to work through their difficulties. My private Counselling and Psychotherapy consulting room is located in Cambridge. I also practise in West End, London.

I have been a BPC Registered Psychodynamic Psychotherapist since September 2007 so I have more than 5 years and 9 months of post-registration experience of working with clients. I also gained experience of working with clients as part of my training. I work with Individuals and Couples. I am highly experienced in providing Counselling and Psychotherapy to men and people from different backgrounds and cultures, and dealing with the particular challenges they encounter. My specialist experience is in Alcohol Dependence.

As well as being a Psychodynamic Psychotherapist in private practice in Cambridge, I have experience as a Charity, College, Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) and Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) Psychodynamic Psychotherapist.

What to Expect during Counselling and Psychotherapy

After an initial assessment in Cambridge, there is no need to continue if you prefer not to. We may take the opportunity to explore the particular concerns for which you are considering Counselling or Psychotherapy. I will discuss confidentiality with you and address any questions you may have. We can see how well we work together. You and I will then be able to decide if my Counselling and Psychotherapy practice is right for you.

The aim of my Counselling and Psychotherapy practice is to develop your knowledge of causes of concerns so you discover what to change or accept. To get the most from Counselling and Psychotherapy you will need to be able to speak openly with me and reflect.

As a British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC) Registered Psychodynamic Psychotherapist, I am trained and experienced in using Couple Therapy and Psychodynamic Therapy to help people who experience problematic thoughts, feelings or behaviour.

My work is with a broad range of individuals and couples looking to resolve what feels insoluble without help from outside a relationship or family where it feels difficult to think through and find ways forward. I don't promise to give the answers but my experience leads me to believe that I have often been able to create a place where thinking and analysing can take place and some understanding reached.
