What to Expect during Counselling and Psychotherapy
After an initial consultation in Cambridge, there is no necessity to continue if you do not wish to. As Client and Therapist, we may take the opportunity to explore the current difficulties for which you are considering Counselling or Psychotherapy. I will discuss confidentiality with you and address any questions you may have. You can see how you feel working with me. You and I will then be able to establish if my Counselling and Psychotherapy practice is appropriate for you.The aim of my Counselling and Psychotherapy practice is to develop your insight of your thoughts and how they may increase or decrease your symptoms. To get the most from Counselling and Psychotherapy you will need to be able to work collaboratively.
As a College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists (COSRT) Accredited Psychosexual Therapist, I am highly trained and experienced in using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy and Psychosexual Therapy to work with people to improve their wellbeing.
