Groups: first session set at £27.50, subsequent appointments between £25.00 and £30.00 - 50 minutes.

Welcome. My name is Derek Williams. I am a UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) Registered Psychotherapist - Humanistic and Integrative Therapist. I assist people to define problems and help them explore what to do next. My private Counselling and Psychotherapy consulting room is located in Paddington, London. I also practise in Clerkenwell, London.

I work with Individuals, Couples and Groups. I am highly experienced in providing Counselling and Psychotherapy to men and people from different backgrounds and cultures, and assisting with the particular issues they encounter.

As well as being a Psychotherapist in private practice in Paddington, London, I have experience as a Charity, College, Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) and Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) Psychotherapist.

What to Expect during Counselling and Psychotherapy

After an initial appointment in Paddington, London, there is no necessity to proceed if you do not wish to. As Client and Therapist, we will take the opportunity to assess the current or unresolved past challenges for which you are considering Counselling or Psychotherapy. I will address any questions you may have. You can see how you feel working with me. You and I will then be able to assess if my Counselling and Psychotherapy practice is appropriate for you.

The aim of my Counselling and Psychotherapy practice is to attend to what brings you to therapy in a confidential and focused environment. To get the most from Counselling and Psychotherapy you will need to be able to work collaboratively.

As a UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) Registered Psychotherapist - Humanistic and Integrative Therapist, I am trained and experienced in using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Couple Therapy, Gay Affirmative Therapy, Integrative Therapy, Kink Aware Therapy, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (MBCBT), Narrative Therapy, Person Centred Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT) and Transpersonal Therapy to assist people to get through the difficulties they experience.
