Clinical Experience in Counselling and Psychotherapy

I have over twenty years' experience and work in private practice, within two GP Practices and for several Employee Assistance Schemes. I have also worked as a student counsellor at two universities and have been responsible for some of the Leicester University counselling training.

What to Expect during Counselling and Psychotherapy

You may be upset and have difficulties with your feelings, relationships, or behaviour. This may be because of a sudden change or crisis in your life, or you may not understand why you are feeling the way you do. Counselling is helpful for people of all types and ages to reflect and discover how to move forward.

The first session will be an opportunity to find out more about each other and if counselling is right for you. We will also look at how to take things forward, for example whether short term or long term therapy is more useful.
