Clinical Experience in Psychotherapy

I'm a British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) Senior Accredited (MBACP Snr Accred) Psychotherapist and British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC) Registered Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist. My private Psychotherapy practice is located in Marylebone, London. I also practise in South Kensington, London.

A Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist since June 1998, I have 14 years of experience in Psychotherapy. I work with Individuals. I'm experienced in working with people from corporate backgrounds, people from different backgrounds and cultures and the gay community, and assisting with the particular issues they encounter.

In addition to being a Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist in private practice in Marylebone, London, I have experience as a Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist.

What to Expect during Psychotherapy

After an initial consultation in Marylebone, London, there is no requirement to proceed if you decide not to. We may take the opportunity to clarify the particular concerns for which you are considering Psychotherapy. I will discuss confidentiality with you and address any questions you may have. You can see how you feel working with me. You and I will then be able to assess if my Psychotherapy practice is right for you.

The aim of my Psychotherapy practice is to attend to what brings you to therapy in a confidential and focused environment, concentrate on your concerns so you feel heard, respected and supported, tailor therapy to you and your needs and work towards ending therapy when it is right for you. To get the most from Psychotherapy you will need to be able to participate and work collaboratively.

As a British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) Senior Accredited (MBACP Snr Accred) Psychotherapist and British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC) Registered Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist, I am trained and experienced in using Psychoanalytic Therapy to assist people to get through the difficulties they experience.

Psychoanalytic Therapy

Psychoanalytic psychotherapy is never going to be a quick solution for difficulties that may be of long standing. Current unhappiness often has its roots in the past. Trusting the process and feeling from the first that a good working relationship with the therapist is possible is very important. Generally 25 to 100 sessions: depends on issue and other factors.

Clinical Qualifications in Psychotherapy

  • British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC) Registered Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist since 1998
  • BPS Accredited Training Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy - Westminster Pastoral Foundation (WPF) Therapy London (UK) 1998
  • British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) Senior Accredited (MBACP Snr Accred) Psychotherapist since 1993

I am committed to Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in Psychotherapy. I abide by the Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the Code of Ethics of the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC).
