What to Expect during Counselling and Psychotherapy

After an initial assessment in Bishop's Stortford, there is no obligation to proceed if you do not wish to. As Client and Therapist, we will make use of the supportive environment to explore the personal or professional difficulties for which you are considering Counselling or Psychotherapy. I will discuss confidentiality with you and address any questions you may have. We can see how well we work together. You and I will then be able to decide if my Counselling and Psychotherapy practice is appropriate for you.

The aim of my Counselling and Psychotherapy practice is to attend to what brings you to therapy in a confidential and focused environment. To get the most from Counselling and Psychotherapy you will need to be able to speak openly with me and reflect.

As a British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) Accredited (MBACP Accred) and Registered Counsellor and Psychotherapist, I am highly trained and experienced in using Client Centred Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Humanistic Therapy, Integrative Therapy, Person Centred Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy (SFT) to work with people to address the causes of problems and reduce symptoms.
