I work with couples and individuals who were sexually abused as children. I also work with gay people and lesbians, and individuals who have been raped.

What to Expect during Counselling and Psychotherapy

I am an integrative therapist. However my chair is firmly in the Humanistic School. My integration strategy influences how I conceptualise my work with my clients. Transactional Analysis, although basically an object relations theory, integrates elements of cognitive behavioural theory. Self Psychology centralises the importance of empathic understanding in the healing process. Person Centred psychotherapy also emphasises empathy and the core conditions of positive regard for my clients.
