Clinical Experience in Counselling and Psychotherapy
I cover a wide cross section of counselling needs. Aside from my own practice, I have worked on a voluntary basis at two charitable organisations and have had experience working with clients on many kinds of issues, affecting their well being. While working for one of these organisations I specialised in working with women survivors from childhood sexual abuse. I have also worked with clients suffering from depression, anxiety, bereavement, and relationship problems etc.
What to Expect during Counselling and Psychotherapy
I am a qualified Counsellor and Psychotherapist and an Accredited Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP Accred).I mainly follow the Integrative model of counselling, while working with my clients. The Integrative model combines the aspects of the Humanistic model with the Psychodynamic model.
I offer counselling and psychotherapy to individuals and couples in a professional and confidential setting, which enables them to bring out and deal with painful and difficult issues. I try to work in a way that provides an opportunity for an individual to work towards living in a way that is more satisfying and resourceful.
Counselling and Psychotherapy enables a person to talk and explore the thoughts and powerful emotions that are perhaps not helping him or her to move on in life. Through therapeutic exploration I focus on helping individuals or couples to utilise their own coping resources.
Counselling and Psychotherapy can help an individual with various emotional issues while enabling that individual to be more aware of his or her own standing. Counselling and Psychotherapy can also help a person to be more relational towards others and also to his or her ownself.
