Starting Counselling

Allan Frater offers Counselling

I imagine you are reading this because you or someone you know needs help understanding or coping with something that is going on right now. If this is the case then I am sorry you or they are struggling. I don't know how I could help yet.

I do know that seeing a counsellor helped me through some difficult times. And I remember how scary the idea of going to a counsellor was. I was anxious. I wasn't sure I would be able to share my difficult experiences with a stranger.

Probably the most important thing is that you meet with a counsellor who you can get on with and trust. My profile will hopefully give you some sense of me as a person, as well as information about my training and approach. If you decide I am not the right person for you then hopefully you will find someone on this site.

In the meantime I hope things go as well as can be for you.
